University of Leicester Case Study
University of Leicester

OVERVIEW

After a lengthy and intense tendering process ECG Facilities Services were awarded the prestigious contract to carry out maintenance to the University’s extensive assets of air conditioning and ventilation equipment in 2013.After completing the asset verification and condition report, as requested by the client, it became obvious that the assets owned by the client were far more extensive than originally thought.ECG worked very closely with the estates department to ensure that all of the plant owned by the client was brought into the maintenance programme, partly through the allocation of additional engineering resource and the input from ECG’s senior management team. The client is now fully supported by two, full time highly skilled chiller/ air conditioning engineers and additional support from ECG’s mobile service engineers, with particular attention being given to the University’s close control equipment, so as to ensure critical research, (which heavily relies on such plant), suffers no interruption.
