ECG Facilities Services have successfully provided a mechanical and electrical services maintenance service to Metro for a number of years, and we have since become a key service provider to this client.With three Full-Time Engineers and several Mobile Engineers supporting this large contract, the scope of the contract covers all of the bus stations, terminuses, depots, bus stops, and all other buildings owned and operated by Metro.ECG are responsible for the inspection, testing and maintenance of all HVAC plant, although the contract does have a bias towards electrical maintenance and includes a continuous programme of fixed wire testing to ensure that Metro meets all of its responsibilities to its passengers.Additionally, our organisation has delivered various refurbishment and installation projects for Metro throughout the contract term, including the successful delivery of a high spec solar lighting project to one of the largest and busiest stations in Yorkshire – the Bradford Interchange.Due to the continued levels of high quality and professionalism shown throughout this contract, WYCA have had the confidence to re-award ECG this contract following the recent re-tender process.


Serving over 2 million people across West Yorkshire, Metro is responsible for the delivery and co-ordination of various public transport services including West Yorkshire’s bus and rail services.
