We are delighted to announce that ECG Facilities Services has donated £1,000 to “The Smiling Ball,” an annual event in support of the charity “Marion’s Still Smiling.” This year’s ball was held on Saturday 11^th May at The Waterside Hotel in West Kilbride and was hosted by the fabulous Edward Reid.

The event was a resounding success, bringing together supporters for an evening of dinner, dancing, raffles, auctions and, most importantly, lots of smiling. After nearly 5 years, the Marion’s Still Smiling Ball provided a wonderful opportunity for guests to reconnect, celebrate and express their gratitude for the continued support the charity has received over the years.

Edward Reid’s hosting added a special touch to the evening, ensuring everyone had a fantastic time in a night that was filled with music, laughter and joy – embodying the spirit of Marion’s Still Smiling.

Marion’s Still Smiling, in partnership with NHS Ayrshire & Arran and supported by Crosshouse and Ayr Hospitals, raises funds to give terminally ill cancer patients the opportunity to go on short holidays and mini-breaks. The charity’s purpose is to provide moments of joy and relief to those battling cancer, often facing financial hardship. Marion Callaghan and her family found great comfort and happiness in such breaks, creating cherished memories and their charity aims to offer the same opportunities to others, recognising that sometimes laughter can be the best medicine.

ECG are proud to support such a heartfelt cause and were very happy to contribute £1,000 to this incredible event and cause. We look forward to hearing the final fundraising total and continuing to support the ongoing efforts of Marion’s Still Smiling in the future.
