ECG Facilities Services are proud to continue our long-standing support of the Reamonn Gormley Memorial’s Annual Sportsman Dinner, held this year on Friday 20^th September 2024 at the Parkville Hotel in Blantyre. The event, which brings together the local community to honour the memory of Reamonn Gormley, was organised by the Blantyre Soccer Academy in partnership with Only Sport.

This year’s Dinner featured esteemed guest speakers, John McKelvie and Frank McAvennie. The evening celebrated Reamonn’s legacy and raised crucial funds for several charitable causes, including support for children with Down’s syndrome in Thailand – one of the Academy’s key charitable efforts.

ECG FS have proudly supported this special event for the last 13 years, reaffirming our commitment to community engagement and charitable causes. This year was no different, as we once again took a table to participate in the evening’s activities. Our involvement is a reflection of our company’s dedication to social responsibility, ensuring that we continue contributing meaningfully to the communities in which we operate.

About the Reamonn Gormley Memorial

The Dinner is held annually in memory of Reamonn Gormley, a bright young man who was tragically killed in 2011. Reamonn was an avid supporter of Blantyre Soccer Academy and a true community figure, dedicating much of his time to helping others. The funds raised at the event go towards several local and international charitable initiatives, reflecting Reamonn’s passion for making a difference.
