The team from ECG Facilities Services recently attended a charity golf day on the Robert the Bruce golf course at Trump Turnberry to proudly support the Stiliyan Petrov Foundation, with a star cast on show including Stiliyan Petrov, Mark Wilson, Kris Boyd, Alan Hutton and Marc Bircham.
The Stiliyan Petrov Foundation, founded by former footballer Stiliyan and his wife Paulina, supports and helps people afflicted or affected by leukaemia and cancer. The charity provides a vital range of services from family support through to travel expenses for treatment.
The ECG “Pacemakers” team of David Beacom, Bryan Mulvanny and Gary Robertson, led by former Celtic star Mark Wilson, fought the harsh conditions and managed a respectable 8th out of 18th place in what was a typically Scottish windy day!
Following the action out on the course, a fantastic afternoon was enjoyed by all, presided over by Jim White, with those in attendance combining to raise almost £28,000 – a fantastic effort which will go a long way in ensuring the Foundation can continue to provide its fantastic aid to those in need of it.
