ECG Facilities Services were invited to tender for the Mechanical, Electrical & Building Fabric Services contract at this prestigious shopping centre through consultants Maven Jay. Centre: MK is a considerably sized shopping centre, spanning over 1 mile of walking distance. As a result, ECG operate a ‘Manned Site’ solution at this centre, taking on 18 staff members via a managed TUPE transfer process. Upon contract award, ECG completed a comprehensive Asset Verification and Condition Report process for centre: MK and its associated demises including Multi-Storey Car parks, Food Centres and office blocks/management suites. This was undertaken by a highly experienced member of our dedicated National Mobilisation Team, giving a full breakdown of the entire centre’s plant, along with associated lifespans, condition ratings and recommendations – allowing the Centre Management Team to forecast and budget plan to a much greater degree of accuracy.

Centre: MK and associated property is a grade II listed shopping centre that opened in 1979. It serves as the de facto ‘town centre’ shopping centre for the residents of Milton Keynes. Comprising of 220 units, the centre is anchored by John Lewis and Marks & Spencer.
