Following a highly competitive tender process, ECG Facilities Services were delighted to be awarded the project for the Ventilation Installations & Upgrades at City Building’s Hawthorn House and Orchard Grove care homes in Glasgow. This project involved ECG undertaking a large variety of heating, ventilation and cooling installations, as well as modifying the associated plant to accommodate the new installations. In line with all projects undertaken by our company, the works were delivered through our dedicated, in-house Projects Department, fully managed by our highly experienced Projects Manager and Project Engineer. Although the vast majority of works were undertaken in-house via this department, all of the specialist services required to successfully deliver these projects were carried out by our approved team of specialist subcontract partners who were fully procured, managed and audited throughout the project’s entire duration by our dedicated Subcontractor Management Team to ensure a consistently high level of service delivery was achieved at all levels of the project. At Hawthorn House, ECG delivered a number of additional works, including retrofitting 120 fire smoke dampers in line with City Building’s specific requirements. All works were delivered on time, to budget and to high levels of quality by ECG’s Projects Team who handed back the site to the client following a comprehensive demonstration of the new systems installed, resulting in the client being extremely pleased with the standard the project was successfully completed to.
