OVERVIEW

After an intensive tendering process, Hanover Housing Association awarded ECG Facilities Services the contract to carry out the Gas Heating Upgrades at their sites in Barrhead, Elderslie, Drumchapel, Hamilton and Paisley. ECG removed the existing boilers, flues, pumps, and associated equipment from site – retaining the existing plate heat exchanger for integration into the new heating systems wherever possible. Our organisation provided temporary boiler plant facilities to ensure the residents experienced no interruption to their heating services, something which was vital due to the nature of these sites. The new boiler installations also included complete TRV replacements, new VT and CT pump sets, associated heating controls, new LTHW pipework and stainless steel flues to suit the boiler configuration. All works were delivered within a live working building, and ECG worked closely with Hanover’s staff to ensure noise levels were kept to a minimum to avoid disruption of the normal daily routines of the tenants as well as carrying out all works during the summer months, further minimising any potential inconvenience caused to the residents.
