In late 2022, ECG were delighted to be awarded the tender to undertake the upgrading of heating at The Ballet School student accommodation at 261 West Princes Street in Glasgow on behalf of Hello Student. The project works were commissioned as we were tasked to find a “green” environmentally friendly solution to replace some troublesome gas-fired DHW heaters which were previously supplying the heating services throughout each room within The Ballet School. As a result, our Projects Team fitted 2no. electric heating boilers, an unvented calorifier and associated controls. The project works themselves were carried out by ECG’s dedicated in-house Projects Department who delivered the provision of the new electrical services and altered existing installations to accommodate the new plant. Any requirements for specialist services were undertaken by our approved specialist subcontract partners, with the procurement, management and auditing of such subcontractors handled internally by our dedicated Subcontractor Management Team. ECG operated as Principal Contractor for the entire project and delivered a high quality works package to Empiric Student Property who were delighted with the standards maintained throughout the project duration. As a result, the Client has since asked us to carry out the same works at another 2 blocks within the same site, which our Projects Team have now quoted for.
