In early 2023, ECG Facilities Services were delighted to be awarded the contract to deliver Heating & Ventilation Systems Maintenance to iQ Student Accommodation’s student properties – both the “North & Central” and “Midlands & North West” portfolios in England. The award of this contract sees ECG responsible for the delivery of Planned Preventative and Reactive Maintenance Servicing of all Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and related systems to iQSA’s range of student properties across these regions such as en-suite rooms, studios and shared flats. In addition to providing accommodation, iQSA also offers a range of facilities and services to its residents – such as communal areas, study spaces, laundry facilities and social areas – whereby ECG are also responsible for ensuring the heating and ventilation plant contained within remains operating at optimal levels to provide a comfortable environment for the students to live, study and relax in. Collaborating with staff managing and delivering all aspects of the contract from our Warrington Regional Office, we were able to ensure fast and efficient response times for all of iQSA’s student properties encompassed within these portfolios. Our network of on-call engineers, based locally in each area of England, contributed to our ability to deliver timely service provision. iQSA has teams of dedicated personnel who offer assistance and support to students during their tenancy. Since the beginning of the contract, ECG have collaborated closely with these on-site staff to establish a robust maintenance programme that works in tandem with the tenants' own schedules to minimise any potential disruption whilst these essential maintenance works are undertaken.
