OVERVIEW

ECG Facilities Services were awarded the contract to provide Water Hygiene Maintenance to NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde at Rowanbank Clinic, Stobhill Hospital. ECG have implemented a comprehensive, long-term maintenance programme, which protects the client and the building users from any potential Legionella exposure. As with many of our existing Water Hygiene contracts, our organisation has delivered Legionella awareness training sessions to all appropriate NHS GGC management staff so the staff and building users alike of understanding the importance of the work we are carrying out.

BACKGROUND

Glasgow’s Stobhill Hospital, located in the north of the city, is an ambulatory care and diagnostic hospital that also provides a host of mental health facilities for the population of Greater Glasgow.

SERVICES DELIVERED

Full and comprehensive Legionella risk assessments, including schematic drawings in accordance with the ACOP L8 guidelines
Monthly, quarterly, six monthly, and annual monitoring takes
Pipework and system updates
Deadleg survey and removal works
Showerhead clean and disinfections
CWST inspections, refurbishments, and replacements
Monthly sentinel temperature checks
Calorifier checks and maintenance
Bi-annual TMV servicing and calibration
Bacteriological and Microbiological potable water sampling
