OVERVIEW

In the summer of 2016, ECG were successfully awarded the contract to replace the ageing boiler plant at South Lodge Care Home, Burns House and South Ayrshire Council’s County Buildings headquarters, also installing new plate heat exchangers as part of these works. Once the existing boilers, pipework, flues and pumps were disconnected and safely removed from site, ECG proceeded to install new Hamworthy Variheat boilers and new Alfa Laval plate heat exchangers – complete with new pumps, strainers, valves and pipework to suit the new boiler arrangements. ECG’s M&E Projects Division held full responsibility for ensuring that this project was delivered on time and to the highest levels of quality. Our M&E Projects staff were able to draw on many years’ experience in delivering projects to tight timescales, having undertaken a number of boiler plant replacements on behalf of similar public sector clients, including numerous local councils, in recent years.
