OVERVIEW

The scope of works required ECG to work very closely with both the client and our team of highly specialised subcontractors to carry out the plant room refurbishment in a short time scale, whilst actively ensuring to keep noise levels to a minimum in order to avoid disruption while working in the live building. The existing plant was systematically decommissioned and stripped out, whilst the new fully modulating, condensing gas-fired boilers were installed and commissioned, together with an array of Smart Tanks, new pumps, stainless steel flues, builders works and a state-of-the-art BMS system. The heating plant was installed efficiently and effectively by our highly-skilled engineers, resulting in the project being completed well within the required timescale and to an impeccable standard.

BACKGROUND

The boiler plant at Lindsay House was in desperate need of replacement as it was showing severe signs of ageing and, as a result, was approaching the end of its safe and useful working life. After an intensive tendering process, South Lanarkshire Council awarded the project package to upgrade the heating plant.
