ECG were delighted to be awarded the contract to undertake the supply and installation of new heating equipment to communal heating systems within sheltered housing developments across 5 different Lots on behalf of Trust Housing Association at: •Kirkriggs, Forfar; •Shawholm Crescent, Pollokshaws; •Victoria Court, Ayr; •Bedford Court, Alloa; •Houldsworth Court, Wishaw. The scope of this contract covers the replacement of the existing gas-fired boilers, flue, pump sets, all associated pipework and automatic control panel within the Boiler Room at each of the 5 sheltered housing developments. As with every heating upgrade undertaken on behalf of housing associations, minimising disruption to residents of the buildings was of utmost priority to ECG. To keep this disruption as low as possible, the works at each Lot were required to be completed within a 15-day working period (including pre-fabrication works) and were to include heating and hot water shutdowns of no more than 5 working days.
