ECG Facilities Services were delighted to be awarded the contract to strip out the exiting gas fired boilers, associated pipework, water heaters, flues, pumps, electrics, controls, and ancillary items for Bield Housing & Care. Modifications were carried out to the existing gas train, LTHW pipework, electrics, controls, and builders work associated with new flues. Our organisation then installed new fully-modulating, gas-fired condensing boilers – along with a new plate heat exchanger, pumps, stainless steel flues and associated items. As these works were undertaken in a live environment, ECG worked in close collaboration with Bield to ensure all Health & Safety concerns were addressed and that the project ran to programme. ECG’s engineers are now well-versed in delivering works in such environments, especially where vulnerable persons may be present, and all works were successfully delivered on time and within budget – much to the delight of the Client.
