OVERVIEW

ECG Facilities Services have worked on behalf of JLL for a number of years, with standalone contracts for sites throughout Scotland and England. In 2015, we were successfully awarded the contract to provide mechanical and electrical maintenance services to JLL’s Scotland Portfolio, which has successfully been re-awarded in 2022 following a competitive tender process. As part of this portfolio, one of the sites encompassed within is Caledonia Park in Gretna, whereby the scope of the contract has ECG responsible for maintaining a whole host of plant and equipment, which includes all boilers, boiler plant, pumps, pipework, AHUs, air conditioning systems, chillers, lighting systems, and BMS controls both serving and within the 47 individual retail units and restaurants. It is imperative that our engineers remain “invisible” to the customers on-site whilst undertaking these essential maintenance tasks. To ensure this is achieved, we work in close collaboration with the Centre Manager on-site to ensure all works are scheduled for the times where any potential disruption is minimised.

BACKGROUND

Originally opening in 1999 as “Gretna Gateway”, Caledonia Park has been refurbished in 2022 and is Scotland’s premier designer outlet village, located immediately as the border is crossed from England and is home to some of the UK’s largest and well-known luxury retail brands.
