OVERVIEW

ECG Facilities Services were awarded the contract to supply and install a new gas-fired LTHW boiler to replace the existing unit at Glasgow Clyde College’s Cardonald Campus. The works were carried out over a period of 7 days, and included the strip out of the existing boiler, associated flue, gas pipework and controls. A new gas-fired Viessmann boiler with integrated stainless steel flue was then installed, together with new gas feed pipework. All of the existing controls for the boiler were either replaced or modified where possible in order to accommodate the operating requirements of the new boiler. ECG worked in close collaboration with the College to schedule the works for the most suitable times, resulting in the works being carried out with no disruption to the services and students of the College.
