OVERVIEW

Glasgow’s Leverndale Hospital, located in the south of the city, provides a host of services for patients including a psychiatric rehabilitation unit and a recreational therapy department. ECG’s duties involved decommissioning works and the installation of various mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation services works within the Hospital’s Admin, Kitchen, Beith/Banff, and Balloch/Balmore buildings, as well as throughout various hospital wards. We have extensive experience in undertaking works in similar environments, and our M&E Projects Department were able to draw on this experience, knowledge, and expertise to ensure a high quality product was delivered on time and within budget to NHS GG&C.

BACKGROUND

ECG were commissioned by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde to undertake the heating and domestic hot water upgrade at Leverndale Hospital in Glasgow.

SERVICES DELIVERED

Removal of existing boilers, water heaters, calorifiers, flue dilution system and sump pumps from site
Installation of new mechanical services including sump pump, automatic controls, boilers, sensor pockets, water heaters, port valves, and flue systems
Commission new plant and equipment, insulate all new pipework, and handover to client on time and within budget
