OVERVIEW

ECG Facilities Services were initially awarded a three year contract for both the Bon Accord and St. Nicholas Shopping Centres in Aberdeen, and we have since successfully re-tendered this contract due to the high quality of service we have provided. ECG inherited the on-site operatives under TUPE, and we have since augmented this team with two new operatives who work proactively with the Management Team. This engineering team provide maintenance for a wide-range of mechanical and electrical plant and equipment located within these shopping centres to ensure that both of the centres remain open for business throughout the year. Our organisation has introduced optimised solutions to the shopping centres to ensure that the retailers receive “best-in-class” service provision.

BACKGROUND

The St. Nicholas and Bon Accord Shopping Centres were originally two distinct, separate shopping centres competing with one another when they opened in 1985 and 1990, respectively. Since then, these two shopping centres have combined to create one huge centre to serve the people of Aberdeen and the surrounding area.
