Savills Case Study
The Centre, Livingston Case Study
Savills - The Centre, Livingston

OVERVIEW

Our organisation was awarded a three-year contract for mechanical and electrical maintenance at The Centre in Livingston, which our organisation has since successfully retained. Similar to the Bon Accord and St. Nicholas Shopping Centres in Aberdeen, the site staff from the previous contractor joined ECG on TUPE transfers – who have successfully integrated into ECG’s diverse engineering team and now provide an excellent, customer-focussed solution to Savills. The scope of this contract encompasses a whole host of plant and equipment, which includes all boilers, boiler plant, pumps, pipework, AHUs, air conditioning systems, chillers, lighting systems, and BMS controls. In addition to the contracted maintenance, ECG has delivered numerous installation projects within this busy shopping centre environment – including a new skylight installation.

BACKGROUND

Originally built in the 1970s in the heart of Livingston, The Centre is a modern shopping centre consisting of three phases and home to over 155 stores – including some of the UK’s largest and most well-known retail chains.
